15 June 2021 – Reserve Bank Chief Economist Yuong Ha will be on a panel of public sector chief economists at the end of a workshop on “Fiscal and Monetary Policy in the wake of COVID”.

There will be no formal speech notes, but material from the May Monetary Policy Statement may be referenced. Panel members will offer their views on how the research community can help understand key economic issues facing New Zealand.

The Reserve Bank and Treasury are holding a workshop on fiscal and monetary policy in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of the workshop is to bring together the New Zealand macroeconomic research community to discuss recent innovative analysis and the outlook for macroeconomic policy.

Panel members will offer their views on the key macroeconomic issues facing New Zealand.
