Following requests from residents and community leaders, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency will extend the current consultation period for the Nelson Future Access (NFA) project to 5pm, Friday 18 June 2021.

The original deadline was Sunday, 13 June.

The NFA project is led by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) with Nelson City Council (NCC) as a key Project Partner.

This second phase of consultation is focused on improvements that can be made to the Nelson transport network before the Priority Lanes package (the long-term solution) is needed. This includes intersection improvements, walking and cycling paths, and proposed traffic calming to enhance neighbourhoods and improve safety.
