Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises the northbound lane on State Highway 1 through Bulls is expected to remain closed through into the evening peak, as a result of downed powerlines following an earlier crash.

Northbound traffic is facing significant delays and is likely to get worse as people finish work.

Motorists are encouraged to delay their travel, where possible, or consider using an alternate route through Halcombe.

Waka Kotahi thanks motorists for their patience.
