Auckland Transport is encouraging the people of Tāmaki Makaurau to have their say on the draft Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP) before the consultation closes this Sunday.
The RLTP is the 10-year plan for Auckland’s transport network. It details the areas that Auckland Transport, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and KiwiRail will focus on to respond to our region’s transport challenges. It also outlines the proposed 10-year investment programme for specific transport projects.
More than 3000 people have already had their say on the plan and Auckland Transport wants to hear from more people.

AT’s Chief Executive, Shane Ellison says the RLTP is a critical document for Auckland’s future.
“Our region faces significant transport challenges over the next 10 years and this draft transport plan will help to provide Aucklanders with better transport choices.
“We also know that policy changes need to be considered on issues like fuel emissions standards or congestion pricing that could make travelling in Auckland safer, more hassle-free, and better for the environment.”
Mr Ellison adds that hearing from Aucklanders is imperative so he’s encouraging people to provide feedback by this Sunday.
