Mike Davies, Acting DOC Motueka Operations Manager, says people should take extreme care walking around the slip edge on the temporary track.

The track was closed on 13 April due to the landslip. The track was reopened as far as its suspension bridge last week, about 1 kilometre.

DOC staff plan to reinstate the track more permanently in the slip area in coming weeks.
