On 26 February 2021, the Environment Court released its cost decision on BW Offshore Singapore PTE LTD’s (BWO) appeal against abatement notices issued by the EPA.
In October 2020 the Environment Court cancelled the abatement notices issued by the EPA in March 2020.
BWO applied to the Environment Court for costs against the EPA and the Environment Court ordered the EPA to pay BWO costs of $110,000.
The EPA has now appealed the Environment Court’s decision as to costs to the High Court.
