University of Waikato donors came together on campus in Hamilton for Donor Day in March – an event held to formally thank them for their support over the years.
At the event, donors were able to see first-hand how their support has enabled the University to move forward and make a positive impact on the communities it serves through world-leading research, and enabling access for worthy students to thrive and succeed.
Most importantly, donors were thanked for their generous contributions in person, while also mingling with University leaders, researchers, and scholarship recipients.
Director of Development Peta Goldsworthy says Donor Day was about recognising and celebrating the University’s key supporters, many of whom have had an association with the University over many years.
“It was fantastic to see so many of our donors come along, some travelling from outside the region, to see how their support has enabled many great things at the University, including student success through scholarships, research that makes a tangible impact, and much more.
“We now look forward to continuing to thank and engage our donors meaningfully in the years to come, and working together to support students, researchers, and the University to continue to make a difference in its communities.”
