Headline: New GM takes charge of registers

Sanjai Raj has been appointed General Manager of the newly formed Market Integrity branch of MBIE, with responsibility for the Companies Office and its business registers.

He takes over from Ross van der Schyff as the Registrar of:

  • Companies
  • Financial Service Providers
  • Personal Property Securities
  • Industrial and Provident Societies
  • Building Societies
  • Friendly Societies and Credit Unions, and
  • Registered Unions

Effective from 29 January 2021 and

  • Incorporated Societies

Effective from 10 February 2021.

With 32 years’ public sector experience, Sanjai previously held the roles of Official Assignee, Group Manager-Radio Spectrum Management, and General Manager Consumer Protection & Standards.
