Firefighters are continuing to work on the fire at Tangimoana forest.
Six helicopters and around 50 personnel, including firefighters and heavy machinery operators, are still on on the scene working to contain the fire.
The fire is now around 45ha in size.
Winds haven’t yet picked up as expected. Conditions are currently looking good.
