  • Event start: 11 Nov 2020 1:30pm
  • Event end: 11 Nov 2020 2:30pm
  • Location: Online via Zoom

Join the Health Quality & Safety Commission for a webinar to discuss the findings of the recent survey: infection prevention and control (IPC) – gaps and opportunities identified during the COVID-19 response.

A panel of infection prevention and control, and aged residential care sector experts will present the findings from this recent survey and discuss opportunities for shared learning and collaboration.

The Commission is the lead agency for workstream five of the Ministry of Health’s Action plan for the recommendations of the Independent Review of COVID 19 Clusters in Aged Residential Care:

‘ARC providers can access information on relevant quality improvement initiatives and network locally to support continuous learning across the sector.’

It is underpinned by recommendation 19:

‘Establish a continuous learning/quality cycle with regional networks. For smaller/standalone aged residential care providers, without a central office, establish local networks with assistance of district health boards (DHBs), to identify potential networks to link with.’

Who should attend?

This webinar is aimed at DHB IPC leads and/or clinical nurse specialists, health of older people managers, public health, and any regional or DHB-based roles that have an interest in supporting IPC education and support for aged residential care.
