Have your say

New Zealand Food Safety (NZFS) is proposing an update to the verification requirements for bee product
processors requiring risk management programmes as detailed in the Animal Products Notice: Export Verification
Requirements.

The proposed changes are related to:

  • raising the ceiling verification step from step 6 (6-monthly) to step 7 (annually)
  • introducing off-site verification at step 6 where the verifier determines it appropriate
  • verification requirements related to COVID-19. These changes are intended to assist in futureproofing verification requirements against potential impacts of COVID-19.

Full details are in the consultation documents.
