The Government has announced new positive cases of COVID-19 in Auckland, with no link to managed isolation or quarantine facilities.
As of midday today (Wednesday August 12) the Auckland region will move to Alert Level 3 for 3 days, until midnight on Friday 14 August. The rest of New Zealand will move to Alert Level 2.
The EPA office is located in Wellington. During Alert Level 2 we will continue to perform our usual functions, with some staff working from home. Our office will be closed to visitors until further notice.
This is a developing situation and we will update this website as new information becomes available.
Visit the official COVID-19 website for the latest information, including advice on alert levels
