About the Aotearoa Wellbeing Commitment
The Aotearoa Wellbeing Commitment (AWC) underwrites the health and wellbeing of all New Zealanders, making sure everyone has a decent standard of living.
Many New Zealanders are experiencing the struggle to make ends meet, to fully participate in society, and to access good education, health and care, and housing.
The AWC is a commitment to be made by government to provide healthcare, education, housing, income support, public transport and internet for all citizens.
We believe these are services we shouldn’t have to pay for, but should be invested in by governments to provide a wellbeing foundation for all New Zealanders. These services will be responsive to the needs of users, and designed by both the users AND the front-line workers that help deliver them.
This is an exciting idea that allows us to challenge politicians to think bigger while putting community and public services at the heart of rebuilding better.
Please get in touch to request a media kit with more information on this campaign, and in depth details about the Aotearoa Wellbeing Commitment.
