Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises State Highway 5 is closed between Tapapa Road and Barker Road due to a truck roll.
Motorists should follow the directions of contractors and emergency services on the scene, and are encouraged to delay their travel or use an alternative route, via State Highways 28, 29 and 36 between Tirau and Ngongotaha (reverse for Ngongotaha to Tirau), where possible.
