Chief Human Rights Commissioner, Paul Hunt said “Our deepest condolences go to our friends and colleagues at the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) following the targeted killing of two of their staff Fatima Khalil, 24, and Ahmed Jawid Folad, 41.”

“We stand in solidarity with the AIHRC and the Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions in condemning this gross act of violence and call for the Afghanistan government to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.
