Deputy Mayor Bill Cashmore will facilitate an online information session on roading projects in south Auckland on 10 June from 10-11am.
He will be joined by a panel of experts who are instrumental to projects planned for southern Auckland’s transport network.
Joining the Franklin ward councillor will be Supporting Growth programme director Amelia Linzey, Mill Road project leader Emma Fisk, Pukekohe Expressway and Urban Arterial expert Chris Scrafton, and rail upgrade expert Craig Hind.
The online session was put in place to enable people to keep up with the projects during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“There is so much going in the south,” Cashmore says. “Bringing it all together into one online session gives people the opportunity to hear from those who are instrumental to the projects.
“People will be able to find out more about proposals for public transport, rail upgrades, road improvements, and new walking and cycling networks for Takanini, Opāheke, Drury, Paerata and Pukekohe.”
Participants must register here.
Details are available online about Mill Road and the Takanini, Papakura and Drury sections, Pukekohe Expressway and connections to SH22, the Pukekohe Urban Arterial and rail upgrades, including new stations for Paerata, and Drury Central and West.
