  • COVID-19 Public Health Response Bill
  • Food (Continuation of Dietary Supplements Regulations) Amendment Bill.

Twelve questions to Ministers were answered.

Government business

The COVID-19 Response (Further Management Measures) Legislation Bill was read a second time.

Urgency

A motion to accord urgency to the following business was agreed to::

  • the passing through all stages of the COVID-19 Public Health Response Bill
  • the passing through the remaining stages of the COVID-19 Response (Further Management Measures) Legislation Bill, and any bills into which it may be divided.

Government business—continued

The COVID-19 Public Health Response Bill was read a first time.

The COVID-19 Public Health Response Bill was read a second time.

The committee stage of the COVID-19 Public Health Response Bill was interrupted when Hon Michael Woodhouse was speaking on Part 1 with 3 minutes and 37 seconds remaining in his speech.

Suspension

The sitting was suspended at 10.00 pm and resumed at 9.00 am on 13 May 2020.

Government business—continued

The committee stage of the COVID-19 Public Health Response Bill was completed.

The debate on the third reading of the COVID-19 Public Health Response Bill was interrupted when Marama Davidson was speaking and with 5 speeches remaining.
