The Ministry of Health is hosting a kōrero for the Whangaparāoa community to talk about novel coronavirus and how we are supporting New Zealand citizens and permanent residents who have flown from China as a result of borders closing and are staying at the Whangaparāoa Reception Centre for 14 days. Media are invited to attend.

Location: Stanmore Bay Pool and Leisure Centre, 159 Brightside Road, Stanmore Bay, Whangaparāoa
Time: 6 pm, 6 February

We will talk with the local community about how we are supporting these people, ensuring they are safe and well, and what it means for Whangaparāoa.

There will be representatives from the Ministry of Health to answer any questions the community may have.

All who would like to attend are invited, and the event will be filmed so anyone who may be unable to attend due to Waitangi Day will be able to watch the event.

Residents will be able to have any questions they may have answered by health officials.

An updated advisory will be provided once attendees are confirmed.

Please feel free to publicise this event to help inform the local community.
