On Sunday Fire and Emergency New Zealand is deploying 21 firefighters to New South Wales to help fight the wildfires.
The 21-strong contingent is made up of five four-person crews and a team leader, and is Fire and Emergency’s second full deployment for 2020. A liaison officer, also part of the deployment, will depart for New South Wales on Saturday.
When Sunday’s firefighting crews depart, Fire and Emergency will have deployed more than 200 personnel to assist with the Australian firefighters since the end of October last year.
As well as Fire and Emergency personnel, the New Zealand Defence Force and the Department of Conservation will also be supplying a crew each as part of Fire and Emergency’s deployment.

– Northland
– Auckland
– Bay of Plenty
– Ruapehu District
– Gisborne
– Taranaki
– Christchurch
– Timaru
