Planning a busy summer building? Earthworks? Holding an event involving alcohol?

If your special date is before 16 January 2020, get your applications in ASAP.

Don’t miss out – get your applications in before 21 November at the latest.

Anyone planning any projects that may require consent, permission or licences from Council (including some building and earthworks, serving alcohol at events) are urged to get their applications in by 21 November to avoid disappointment.

“This particularly applies to anyone wanting permission or consent for something happening in the weeks after Christmas,” said Council’s Health and Bylaws Manager Reiner Mussle.

“Acts of Parliament, that permits and licences are granted under, have set time frames for processing.

Usually this is around 20 working days, but in summer there are several days that can not be included in these timeframes, so summer applications need to come in early.”
