The war in Syria has already claimed too many children’s lives.
After more than 8 years of war, thousands are still fighting for their lives every day. We need to act now to help ensure children survive the recent escalation of violence in North-East Syria. Since April, fighting in Syria’s Idlib province has intensified dramatically. Hundreds of children and adults have been killed. Children who survive are denied education, food and healthcare. Explosions and hostilities have led to thousands of children and their families having to leave their homes overnight. Some are now stranded in dire conditions in camps. Many have suffered injuries from the fighting.
“An aircraft bombed my school. People died. I was crying … parents were crying,” says Masa*, age 10.
