The 14th Sustainable Backyards month has kicked off in the Bay of Plenty, with over 170 events for participants to get involved in to connect with others and learn how to achieve a sustainable future.
Food waste contributes to one third of methane gases entering the atmosphere, and the majority of it is avoidable.
On Sunday, 31 March, Toi Ohomai chef tutor and celebrated chef Peter Blakeway, in partnership with Good Neighbour, will be hosting a food rescue cooking demonstration at Totara Street.
