On Sunday 7 April 2019 the Auckland International Cultural Festival returns for its 20th year to celebrate the sights, smells, tastes and sounds from around the world in Mt Roskill War Memorial Park.
Now one of the region’s fastest growing cultural festivals, the Auckland International Cultural Festival showcases our diversity by taking festival-goers around the world in one day with a huge range of food, cultural activities, entertainment and stalls from across the globe. There will also be interactive kids and sports zones with plenty of have-a-go activities.
Expressions of interest are now open for the 2019 Auckland International Cultural Festival. All performances, costumes, arts and crafts, workshops and food stalls are invited to apply to be part of this popular festival.
Festival Director Cara Cantwell encourages cultural groups and stalls that share an element of their culture to apply to be a part of the festival. “We have such a unique, diverse mix of cultures and communities in Auckland – this festival is a great opportunity for performers, community and cultural groups and stallholders to come together and showcase what makes our city so special,” she says.
“Last year over 50 nationalities and countries took part in the festival – it’s an event that can’t be missed!”
