Prosecutions

Charges prosecuted against adults by offence type fiscal year – statistics for 1980/81 onwards about the number of charges prosecuted in the New Zealand court system during a fiscal year. Information includes the court location, type of offence, and outcome of the charge.

Adults prosecuted in court – most serious offence fiscal year – statistics for 1980/81 onwards about people prosecuted in criminal courts during a fiscal year. Information includes court location, and the outcome of a person’s most serious prosecution by offence category.

Convictions

Adults convicted in court by sentence type – most serious offence fiscal year – statistics for 1980/81 onwards about people whose convictions were finalised in criminal courts during a fiscal year. Information includes offender age, gender, and ethnicity; court location; type of sentence; and the sentence given for the most serious offence category.
