Headline: Eastern Bays shared path public engagement

The project team, made up of a wide range of disciplines, has developed a number of designs for the two path width options, including options to treat the more sensitive areas around the beaches. The proposed path runs on the seaward side of the road from Point Howard through to the intersection of Marine Parade / Marine Drive / Muritai Road, but excludes any works within Days Bay.

The project team would like to hear your views again as the project progresses. Your input will be incorporated into the technical information, to select the preferred option in preparation for consents to be lodged later in the year.

Meetings have been scheduled with the residents of the individual bay communities culminating in a general open day over a 3 week period. The first of those meetings was held on the 8th August with a good attendance from the Lowry Bay community.

Consultation material will be available at http://www.huttcity.govt.nz/eastern-bays and you will also able to provide your feedback in electronic format.
