Headline: Andrea Dawe: Auckland District Health Board
My 28 years as a nurse and midwife have been spent providing healthcare to Aucklanders across the spectrums of age, culture and social background. I have extensive experience working in mental health (alcohol and drug treatment), maternity and diabetes care; all areas which will require intense focus on service planning and delivery over the coming years. Every one of us benefits when services are equally accessible to all members of society.
My practical understanding of the challenges faced by public health services, combined with my determination to lift the health of Aucklanders, make me a candidate with much to offer.
Born in Tokoroa, and resident in Auckland since 1973, I am currently employed as a bureau midwife by Auckland DHB, a staff nurse (casual) by Waitemata DHB, and a relieving practice nurse by a city GP practice.
Please vote 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 for me and the City Vision Health team.
