LiveNews.co.nz is an independent multimedia news and information project, directed by Selwyn Manning – former editorial manager and director of Scoop Media Ltd (www.scoop.co.nz).

LiveNews invites multimedia submissions and suggestions, especially from individuals and groups interested in creating live and on-demand video/audio content.

The project aims to develop live and on-demand interaction, and establish convergence models that progress the expression of media through multiple conduits using new and established platforms. These include converging live radio with live video webcasting, and live web-based video interviews via the internet that are geographically distant. Live scalability challenges are addressed through the presentation of on-demand media.
