Tim Berners-LeeCourtesy of Scoop Media: Internet inventor Tim Berners-Lee ( a giant in the world of the Internet and arguably now the Secretary of State for the free global internet ) delivered a public lecture at Te Papa on the evening of 30 January.

The lecture was a full house from just moments after it was announced. It lasted an hour Time Berners-Lee addressed the many facets of openness in a delightfully insightful fashion and suggested several areas of inquiry and development for NZ Internet.

Lance Wiggs has nicely summed up some of his suggestions here: http://lancewiggs.com/2013/01/30/tim-berners-lee-speaks-what-can-we-do-in-nz/ .

Scoop also videoed the press conference which can also be viewed in HD Raw video (Creative Commons license) in two parts in the ScoopIndependentNews channel.
