This week – we kick-off the first of a series of programmes we’ll be mounting through the year on the super-planning that’s needed to develop New Zealand’s first super-city Auckland Council’s governing body has approved the Big Picture Plan for a “quality, compact city” that will house up to 1 million more people over the next 30 years.

And It’s going to be a stretch – for both the Council’s residents and ratepayers – and central government, its agencies, and taxpayers.
