95bFM: Selwyn Manning & Simon Maude on Labour’s Leadership Dilemma

Recorded live on 26/04/12 – 95bFM: Selwyn Manning and Simon Maude discuss how the Labour Party has an uncomfortable dilemma that it needs to sort out.

It’s new leader David Shearer is known as a team builder, known as a man of principle, and has a strong sense of fair go.

David Shearer is also hessitant in the Parliament and is less persuasive in the media. But he is the one who can genuinely connect with people and perhaps is Labour’s best man to reconnect the party to its natural voter base.

But many inside Labour want Shearer to transform into a political attack-dog. Should he attempt to re-invent himself in this way or stay true to himself?

Counter-Clockwise broadcasts live weekly on 95bFM’s The Wire and webcasts live on LiveNews.co.nz.
